The University of Florida (UF) is an American research university located on an area of 2,000 acres (8.1 km2) in North Central Florida. A university funded by the public sector that provides quality education similar to that offered by Ivies University. In 2013, the global reports were issued, considering UF to be one of the top 14 government universities in the United States. She is a prominent member of the Florida State University system and has been following its historical origins since 1853.
The University of Florida is a member of the American University Association (AAU), the Association of Leading Research Universities in North America. It is classified as a research university that offers very high research by the Carnegie Institution for the Advancement of Education.
The university has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Florida Gov. Rick Scott and the State Legislature designated for the University of Florida and one of two “outstanding” state universities in the spring of 2013. It is the third largest university in Florida by number of students, the eighth largest university on campus in the United States with 4,413 students enrolled in 2012.
The University of Florida is home to 16 colleges of academic colleges and includes more than 150 research centers and institutes. Many graduates, including graduates of professional programs in business administration, engineering, law, dentistry, medicine and veterinary medicine, manage 123 master’s programs and seventy-six doctoral programs in eighty-seven schools and departments.
University of Florida‘s Interdisciplinary Sports Teams, known by the Florida Gators as well as the National Association of Sports Association (NCAA) and the South East Conference (SEC).
The University offers the Career Resource Center at the Ritz Student Union. Its mission is to assist students and graduates who seek career development, professional experience, and job opportunities. These include services on and off campus for job interviews, and career planning. The Career Resource Center provides workshops for media courses, professional exhibitions, and career options in the future.
The campus is located on an area of 2,000 acres and over 900 buildings (including 170 classrooms and laboratories). The northeastern corner of the campus is listed as a historic area in the National Register of Historic Places. There are UF halls with a total capacity to accommodate 7,500 students and more than 1,000 graduate students.
