Purdue University, is a leading university located in West Lafayette, Indiana. Founded on May 6, 1869, with the benefit of the Morel Act, the Indiana General Assembly accepted the gift of land and money from businessman Lafayette John Purdue to establish the College of Science and Technology. The College of Agriculture held its first name on 16 September 1874, with six trainers And 39 students.
