Emory University is one of the most famous and prestigious research universities in the United States. It was founded in 1836 by the Episcopal Methodist Church. The University of Atlanta is located on the east side of Georgia, the capital of the state of Georgia, and has more than 7,000 students. The last statistic was in 2014.

History of Emory University:

Emory University was founded in the name of Bishop John Emory and was known as the Emory College. Ignatius Alfonso assumed the position of President of the University at that time, and by 1861 Emory College was closed due to the American Civil War. In 1862 the College was a war-wounded hospital. The college was granted some funds through which it was able to repay all its debts, build new facilities instead of destroyed facilities, and established a new department at the University of Texas Hopkins, the Technology Department, to become the first president of the Institute of Technology, In 1888.

In 1915, Emory College moved to the capital Atlanta, known as Emory University, thanks to the land donated by Asa Gregg Candler, the founder of Coca-Cola University. The following year, the Faculty of Law was established. The most important institutions that teach many disciplines, including medicine, law, arts, theology and others.

In 1979 there was a major change in Emory University thanks to the work of Robert, Winnip Woodruff and George Waldo Woodruff when they gave the University $ 10 million in Coca-Cola. This gift was the largest gift ever given to any higher education institution. USA, and it has had a great impact on the progress of the University and pushed it to be one of the best American research universities.
